Family Dispute Resolution (FDR)
“I have been a nationally accredited mediator for a number of years, and Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) contributed naturally to my counselling practice, which I established in 2007. My practice begun with childhood development and parenting, naturally evolving into working with parents and families and then into work with family breakdown. What was clear to me was the diminishing importance of children and their need to sustain the parent child relationship, where it was possible. Studies also support the importance of the relationship between a child and their parent(s) both in the family dynamic and independently”.
“It is becoming more apparent that not all cases have to end up in court or be bitterly litigated. There are so many more mutually beneficial, collaborative processes and ways of dispute resolution that can and will benefit the client – financially, emotionally and in a more timely manner”.
“Workplace mediation is a timely and very cost-effective dispute resolution process where an independent party (The Mediator) assists two or more people via productive discussion work through issues that need resolution and aims to achieve ongoing workable relationships. In some instances, with Josephine, a one-day service is achievable.
Successful workplace mediation can assist your organisation to strengthen ongoing internal and external working relationships towards achieving better outcomes for all parties involved”.
“Counselling provides an opportunity to explore personal or professional situations and issues with a registered professional who is empathetic, impartial and non-judgmental. Many of our answers lie within, and working with me provides the opportunity to explore and search out resolutions in a confidential environment.
Even if it is a chat once a month, you will feel the benefits to yourself and your life in talking things out rather than letting them ‘fester’. Leaving issues unresolved for too long often results in health decline, so a lesser feeling in the joy of life and ultimately a longer journey in working through things.
You may also be surprised sometimes at how few sessions you may need to deal with the issues that are impacting on your life. Discover the answers from within (they are there) and Restore the Balance back into your life and truly enjoy your beautiful journey.”Josephine Byrnes-Luna
